Loving Lily and Laura

Laura has always been passionate about art, travel, and the world's cultures.  She has enjoyed visiting over 30 countries. After earning a degree in art history she settled in Nepal for seven years beginning in  1996.  She stayed in Nepal because she loved the people and beauty of this wonderful country.  It was then that she grew to enjoy clothing and accessory design.    She discovered the Nepali women's crocheted bracelets and decided to devote her energy to helping her women friends make them something truly special.  In Laura's words "Each bracelet is a little piece of artwork."   The women artists are passionate about making the Lily and Laura  bracelets they crochet very special.  After more than seven years of innovation and dedication we are happy to be able to provide our Lily and Laura  bracelets to you.

Only the finest glass beads in the world in our  bracelets are used for the bracelets. The business focus is to pay more than fair trade wages to our artisans in Nepal, thereby improving the quality of their lives while providing you with beautiful, top quality handcrafted glass beaded bracelets. 
Our Lily and Laura  bracelets are hand crocheted by our  women in Nepal  bead by bead. Our artisans create in the comfort of their homes and in the sunshine on their rooftop decks with their families nearby.  No two bracelets are exactly alike. FYC currently is carrying our newest shipment of stunning fall colors so you can custom pick your bracelets based on color preference. Fashion and fair trade; a perfect match! Ready FUR Winter

Baby, it's COLD outside and what better way to wrap up and stay warm in stylish faux fur? Fur is a layer of pure warmth and there is no doubt about it that it has made a stealthy return right to the heart of high-end fashion.

Stay chic in a fur vest that can be styled with most anything. Pair with jeans and a turtleneck or over a silk blouse with black pants. Don't hesitate to throw it over a sweater dress for an evening out.

This season the addition of a poncho into your collection is a must. It protects from winter's chill and is super stylish. A fur poncho can be worn as a heavy coat. A longer poncho allows you to transition from pants to tights. This can also create a dressier look.

Wrap up in a combination of suede and fur for ice skating or window shopping. If you are hesitant to wear fur, accessorize with a trendy fur bag.

Deck the Halls

The evergreen tree was an ancient symbol of life in the midst of winter. Romans decorated their houses with evergreen branches during the New Year, and ancient inhabitants of northern Europe cut evergreen trees and planted them in boxes inside their houses in wintertime. Decorating the Christmas tree has been a family tradition for years. We look forward to warming the house with a tree and decor that reminds us of the season.
