Glenda Gies has traveled the world, which has been much of her inspiration for designing her like of upscale handbags. She brings old Hollywood glamour and sophistication to a whole new generation of fashionable women. Her one of a kind, vintage fabrics grew from her love of European culture and unique designs. Her bags evoke images of strolling along Fifth Avenue, walking through Central Park, or making a grand entrance on the red carpet. The designs of the bags, totes and accessories are elegant and functional, yet whimsical. Her goal is to provide women the opportunity to have a piece of the past that blend perfectly with today's fashions while not seeing their bag in every mall across America.

Stray Dog Designs

In the picturesque village of San Miguel de Allende, high in central Mexico's mountainous desert, the stray dogs make a life for themselves. Bill Pritchard and Jane Gray were newlyweds when they took a stray mutt under their wings after they fled to Mexico. With their rescue dog, La Princessa in tow, they were determined to bring her back to a healthy way of life. As she recovered, they were inspired to move full speed ahead with their pottery business. The pottery grew as their talent did. They began making designs and Jane would add color with paint. In 1995, they took their designs back to the states and exhibited them at the Atlanta Market. They found orders to be flying in!

Over a decade later, Stray Dog Designs' core design principles are simple: all items are handmade with careful construction from quality and recycled materials, melding quirky charm and true artistry, and providing fair wages for local workers.

It's true that some companies, like some dogs, are all bark and no backup, but not so with Stray Dog Designs. This hound proudly runs with an impressive pack whose designs have been featured in House Beautiful, Elle Decor, InStyle, and a host of other publications. Now, they are available at FYC!

Festive for Fall

It's that time of year where the leaves are changing and pumpkins are front and center on the porch. Give your home with a cozy warm feel. Here are a few fall tips to follow when decorating both the interior and exterior of your home.

Tabletop - Use traditional china or dinnerware (such as white or solid) and pair them with timeless flatware and make the table pop with rustic stemware. Use bold and crisp colors such as orange or red to give the setting seasonal color.

Entry - Opt for a different approach to pumpkin carving this year. Announce your address in style by cleverly etching your house number (or initials) into a pumpkin. Combine traditional and heirloom pumpkins on your front steps. Add some of our lovely gold pumpkins to the mix for Autumn ambiance.

Doorway - Make your home warm and inviting with a fall foliage wreath or a more simplistic approach with a mossy geometric wreath. Another great addition to any doorway is a classic cutout monogram wreath.
